What is 15 Digits?
A trauma diary.
This is my diary of a time ongoing after a hell of a motorcycle accident.
Digits are your fingers and toes. Most of us are born with ten of each as I was.
On the 9th of October 2020 I was 48 and I had a motorcycle accident and ripped my left foot off, leg from limb.
From that day on even though they reconnected my foot, I have only had five fully functioning toes and the threat of an amputation looms still over my head.
So 15 digits is what I have to work with until one day this painful journey comes to an end.
I decided to share it with the world as a cathartic exercise for myself, something to pass the time and just perhaps a tiny bit as a warning to other haphazard happy go lucky motorcyclists like myself, who may think from time to time 'nah she'll be right mate I don't need to wear my boots, I'm just going for a short blast.'
Trust me, that is never true. Wear the right gear every time your ride. Motorcycles are dangerous as well as heaps of fun.
This is my story. Every word is true.
